Came out to your home today to replace the living room ceiling fan. Upon arrival, we met with the homeowner and discussed what needed to be done to install the new ceiling fan. Thank you fro choosing Dawson’s Electric and Air.
Today I came out to your home to provide a quote for finishing a space within your attic. While on site, we discussed your plans for how the space will be used and the type of electrical wiring and lighting you would like installed. We reviewed adding receptacles throughout the attic space to meet today’s electrical code requirements, including tamper-resistant (child-safe) receptacles and AFCI breaker protection (Fire Guard Protection) for the circuit serving the area. We also discussed installing slimline fixtures or recessed lighting throughout the space to improve visibility and functionality. In addition to general wiring and lighting, we reviewed several important life-safety upgrades, including extending the existing smoke detection system into the attic area and installing a new smoke and carbon monoxide combination detector upstairs. We also discussed installing dimmer switches, providing the ability to control the attic lighting from the downstairs level, utilizing smart swi

The homeowner called requesting the installation of a receptacle for a new dishwasher. Upon arrival, I met with the homeowner and discussed what needed to be completed during today’s visit. During my evaluation, I found that the existing dishwasher was hardwired, but the new dishwasher required a plug connection. I verified that the dishwasher was on its own dedicated circuit and that the existing wiring could be safely used. I recommended installing a new dishwasher receptacle using the existing dedicated circuit wiring to properly accommodate the new appliance and ensure safe, code-compliant operation. The homeowner approved my basic solution, and I installed the new dishwasher receptacle, converting the circuit from hardwired to plug-in as required by the new unit. All connections were properly secured and tested to confirm correct operation. The homeowner was happy with the completed work, the dishwasher was ready for installation, and they were pleased to become part of the Dawson
Today we came to your home to perform your Electrical Peace of Mind visit. During our visit, we completed our full 32-point annual safety inspection along with all of the standard checks and services included in your Peace of Mind visit. After reviewing everything with you, you expressed interest in adding whole-home surge protection. We were able to install the surge protector today at your exterior meter/panel combination to help protect your home’s electrical system and the appliances connected to it. Thank you for trusting us to care for your home. We look forward to continuing to provide you with excellent electrical, heating, and air service.
Today I came out to your residence to provide a quote for installing a higher-powered doorbell transformer. When I arrived on site, we discussed the existing alarm system video doorbell you have installed and the requirements provided by the security technician for proper operation. At that time, the system was found to be underpowered, which was causing a humming noise at the doorbell chime. The technician recommended upgrading to a minimum 16-volt transformer to correct the issue. With your approval, I performed a visual assessment of your electrical system and the existing doorbell wiring to ensure the system could be safely modified. This evaluation included inspecting the electrical panel, grounding system, and other safety components. Overall, the electrical system was found to be in good condition; however, I did identify and discuss several preventative maintenance opportunities. These included replacing the breakers in the panel to ensure proper connections and reliable opera
Today, I came out to your residence to perform a yearly Peace of Mind electrical checkup. During the visit, I completed a thorough inspection of your home’s electrical system, including the electrical panels, basement area, and each individual room. All receptacles throughout the home were tested, along with existing GFCI (Shock Guard Protection) receptacles and AFCI breakers (Fire Guard Protection), to verify proper operation and overall safety. While your electrical system is generally in good condition, several areas of concern were identified during the evaluation. These included exposed wiring in the basement, a sump pump circuit showing signs of potential overloading, corrosion and rust present within the electrical panel, a non-UL listed breaker installed in the panel, the absence of proper gas line bonding, two missing grounding connections, and no whole-home surge protection in place. Each of these findings and their associated safety concerns were discussed with you on site,

Jason has been to our home twice to help us with lighting needs. Both times he was on time, but more than that he really knows about wiring and electrical problems. He not only fixed our list of issues, but explained what was wrong. He suggested some improved lighting that made a tremendous difference. He was able to fix on fixture I thought I had to replace, saving me a nice little extra expense. Jason was not just personable, he was patient, helpful and skilled.
