Electrical Services
Why are newer homes still having breaker problems?
Many Holly Springs homes were built with minimum required panel capacity. Once homeowners add:
-
EV chargers
-
Home offices
-
Finished garages
-
Hot tubs
Breaker trips begin.
Electrical repair here often involves panel upgrades rather than small fixes.
Are flickering lights normal in new subdivisions?
Not typically. Flickering lights may indicate:
-
Loose neutral wiring
-
Shared circuit overload
-
Panel busbar issues
These should be evaluated quickly to prevent escalation.
HVAC Company Services
Why does my AC run constantly but not cool enough?
Common in high-growth subdivisions:
-
Builder-grade systems
-
Poor attic insulation
-
Improper duct sizing
An experienced HVAC contractor performs static pressure testing and airflow diagnostics before recommending HVAC replacement.
When do I need furnace repair?
Even mild winters require reliable ignition systems. Furnace repair often addresses:
-
Flame sensor corrosion
-
Blower motor wear
-
Control board faults
Annual maintenance prevents emergency failures.

We had a massive tree fall at our home and it took down the power line and meter box. Dawson’s did and excellent job and handled the whole process with professionalism and care. Preston was our technician and did a great job. He went the extra mile to make sure everything was done correctly. Didn’t cut any corners. He kept us informed of what he was doing and made sure we understood what was going on through the entire process. He stayed on site until the power was restored by Duke to make sure everything worked properly and was safe. Preston was very professional and respectful. He even offered me water as I was working cutting up the tree and cleaning up debris in the yard. I highly recommend Preston and Dawson’s Electric and Air to handle any electrical and HVAC needs you have.

Jim and Mason were great! They worked good as a team should. The installation of the dedicated electrical circuit went quick, smooth and without a hitch! Jim asked for a broom to clean up the mess and I said I would get it but he insisted so I got him the broom and dustpan.

Jonathan did a great job installing floodlights in our backyard. He’s done a few projects for us and we’re always very happy with the work done!
Jim was fantastic. I would have put 10 stars if I could. He was well versed in his craft. He explained everything he was going to do and did it all within a timely matter. He was very professional. When he was under the crawl space he even brought to my attention an issue I was having down there. I wish more companies had people like Jim working for them.
Wonderful service & safety suggestions. Jami was very knowledgeable
Great service
Recently had a transfer switch installed to run our generator into the house. Not only was the service fantastic but they came out the next day to install. Johnathan and his assistant installed it and I couldn’t have as asked for a better interaction. They were extremely friendly, easy to chat with and knew exactly what they were doing. He never pressured me into buying anything extra and gave me options for different services. Johnathan was somebody I would hire for my own company and that’s one of the greatest compliment you can give. Guys were excellent and price was fair for the work they did. I’ll definitely be using Dawsons again for future
Jim was great to work with

John did a great job. Besides what we called him out to do, he pointed out a leak in our crawl space of which we had no idea. In addition he informed us about our woefully out of date smoke detectors and replaced them on the spot. Thank you for going above and beyond!
Polite, efficient and good. I am very pleased
