Performed the annual 32-point electrical system evaluation, including electrical panel maintenance to inspect and torque breaker and terminal connections, and GFCI and AFCI protection testing to verify proper function. Completed smoke and CO detector maintenance with battery replacement and testing, along with light bulb replacement and ceiling fan cleaning on fixtures up to 12 ft. Noted loosely arranged branch wiring in the panel and damaged drywall around a receptacle opening with a displaced cover plate, both recommended for follow-up.
Responded to a hissing/humming noise at a GFCI receptacle after a new device was plugged in; the circuit was de-energized at the breaker and had not tripped. Inspected the electrical panel and found a loose, improperly terminated white (neutral) conductor not secured under the bus bar terminal, along with dirty, discolored, slightly corroded bus bar surfaces, a condition consistent with arcing and the reported noise. Recommend securing the neutral under the terminal at proper torque, cleaning or replacing affected components, and testing the GFCI before re-energizing the circuit.
Conducted an on-site assessment for a customer-supplied EV charger installation, evaluating the electrical service, panel location in the garage, and available exterior and garage mounting options. Inspected the exterior service entrance and existing weatherproof outdoor receptacle, and verified the customer-provided charger and associated equipment were on-site to support the installation.
Diagnosed a repeatedly tripping breaker serving the laundry room, garage, hallway, and exterior lighting and receptacles after a switch arced on activation. Inspection revealed a deteriorated wire splice with heavy oxidation and corrosion buildup and exposed conductor strands inside a junction enclosure, along with debris contamination and nesting material in the exterior disconnect enclosure. The faulty connection was addressed and the affected circuit was tested to confirm proper breaker operation and restored power.

Performed an electrical system evaluation and prepared the 200A main service panel for a new dedicated hot tub circuit, with conductors routed and labeled for the spa branch. During the inspection, identified that the home has no whole-home surge protection, which was flagged as a recommended safety upgrade, and noted the panel's loosely bundled wiring and rough drywall cut-out edges around the enclosure for follow-up.

Curtis was a true professional … very knowledgeable and courteous. His work performed was stellar and at a fair price, everything very much appreciated.
We had a massive tree fall at our home and it took down the power line and meter box. Dawson’s did and excellent job and handled the whole process with professionalism and care. Preston was our technician and did a great job. He went the extra mile to make sure everything was done correctly. Didn’t cut any corners.
