Responded to service call for bedroom ceiling fan light fixture not turning on. Troubleshot electrical circuit and determined wall switch was functioning properly. Diagnosed failed light kit assembly within the ceiling fan fixture and explained repair options to customer, as fixture replacement would be required since internal light components cannot be serviced separately.

Completed comprehensive annual 32-point electrical system evaluation and preventive maintenance service. Performed electrical panel maintenance including proper torquing of all connections and thorough inspection of bus bars, breakers, and wire terminations. Conducted GFCI outlet testing throughout the residence using calibrated digital testing equipment, verifying proper trip times and ground fault protection on all protected circuits. Tested arc fault circuit interrupter (AFCI) breakers to ensure fire protection systems functioning within manufacturer specifications. Performed smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector maintenance including battery replacement and functional testing of all units. Replaced customer-supplied light bulbs in fixtures up to 12 feet in height and cleaned ceiling fans up to 12 feet. All safety devices tested and confirmed operational, electrical connections properly secured, and system found to be functioning safely.
Responded to follow-up service call regarding energized wiring at ceiling fan location where previous work had been performed. Homeowner reported wires remained hot despite switch being in off position. Upon arrival, verified electrical conditions using Fluke multimeter and clamp meter. Measured voltage at 123V present on circuit conductors and confirmed 34A current reading on associated equipment. Performed diagnostic testing to verify circuit integrity and proper switching function. Ensured all connections were secure and verified safe conditions for homeowner to proceed with fan installation.

Conducted thorough testing of GFCI shock protection outlets and breakers to verify proper functioning, with all devices testing correctly at 122.8 VAC. Tested arc fault/fire protection breakers throughout the system to confirm operational integrity. Performed smoke and carbon monoxide detector maintenance services including battery replacement and functional testing of all units. Replaced customer-supplied light bulbs in fixtures up to 12 feet in height and cleaned ceiling fans up to 12 feet. All electrical components tested within normal parameters and system found to be operating safely.
Installed single pole switch for ceiling fan with existing controller and capped unused red wire at switch location. Relocated existing outlet box approximately 6 feet to center of wall, running new wiring through wall cavity and patching original outlet location. Installed additional duplex receptacle below the relocated outlet, wiring both receptacles on same circuit. Verified proper circuit identification at electrical panel, ensured all connections met code requirements, and tested all devices for proper operation.
