Today I came out to your home to address the backyard light that would not turn off. During the visit, I evaluated the wiring at the light pole as well as your home’s overall electrical system to ensure the issue could be repaired safely. This included inspecting the electrical panels, main service equipment, grounding system, and safety components prior to making any modifications. During the assessment, several safety concerns were identified and brought to your attention. The interior subpanel was found to have a buzzing breaker, indicating a potential loose or failing connection. A loose connection was also identified on the upstairs heating circuit breaker, along with a double-tapped breaker, and several breakers that appear to be original to the home and showing signs of age. When inspecting the exterior electrical service, severe corrosion was discovered inside the main panel. Today I came out to your home to perform your yearly Peace of Mind Electrical Checkup. During the visit, I inspected the home’s wiring, safety systems and devices, electrical panels, and grounding system. A full walkthrough of the electrical system was completed to verify that all accessible components were operating safely and as intended. Unfortunately, several significant safety concerns were uncovered regarding the overall condition of your electrical system. The original portion of the home is wired with ungrounded wiring, which does not provide a safe path for fault current. In multiple areas, devices have been upgraded to three-prong receptacles without the addition of proper GFCI protection (Shock Guard Protection), creating a false sense of grounding and increasing the risk of electrical shock. I was quite impressed with the careful attention to detail and extremely courteous service that Micah W. provided as he attended to all my electrical issues on behalf of Dawson’s Electric. He reviewed everything on my “to do” list and provided an estimate up front before completing the list. He did a really good job and I would not hesitate to call Dawson’s again for any future needs. Btw, the light fixture he hung for me was a real bear of a task that Pottery Barn said required 2 people to do and he handled it solo without compromising the “safety” of the fixture. So I am impressed.🤗

I strongly recommend Dawson's Electric, Inc. due to the fact they are prompt, very knowledgable of every aspect, such as how you will get the best lighting, what to use where you have natural lighting, what's most economical, etc. and will also suggest things that save you lots of money in the process but accomplish the same results. I really enjoyed that the owner does a before and after walk through with us to assure we were 100% satisfied with everything. What else can you ask for in a contractor?
