Responded to HVAC system tripping issue on 12-year-old unit that began cycling off every 15 minutes after being restarted following a two-day shutdown. Inspected Eaton electrical breaker panel and service disconnect, verified circuit breaker integrity and proper labeling, and documented panel configuration with all circuit identifications clearly marked. Panel showed clean, well-maintained condition with no visible signs of overheating, loose connections, or damaged breakers at the service disconnect location.
Completed electrical device replacement throughout front of house and trim areas, upgrading switches and receptacles to white finish in pantry, dining room, bathroom toilet area, front entry, and living room built-in cabinets. Replaced low voltage blank connections and verified proper circuit operation at main electrical panel. All work completed with 5-year parts warranty and lifetime craftsmanship warranty included with peace of mind membership.
Completed comprehensive electrical safety upgrade throughout residential property. Replaced all smoke detectors and combination smoke/carbon monoxide detectors to ensure proper fire and gas detection coverage. Upgraded electrical panel with new arc fault circuit interrupter (AFCI) breakers to provide enhanced protection against electrical fires caused by arcing faults. Installed new GFCI receptacles in all required locations throughout the home, including kitchen areas as evidenced by installation in subway tile backsplash near countertop. Tested all GFCI devices for proper operation and verified ground fault protection functionality. All work performed to current NEC standards with 5-year parts and labor warranty included with membership.
Responded to GFCI circuit issue affecting garage area, refrigerator, and garage door opener. Inspected electrical panel and identified tripped GFCI breaker causing power loss to multiple garage circuits. Reset breaker, tested all affected outlets and equipment for proper operation, and verified GFCI protection was functioning correctly with no ground faults present.
Responded to service call for non-functioning doorbell at residential property. Performed diagnostic inspection of doorbell system, including transformer, wiring, and button components. Inspected main electrical panel and exterior meter installation to verify proper power supply and circuit functionality for doorbell circuit.
Charlie was very nice and professional. He was able to get everything done that I needed (it was a lot) and it took less time than I expected. I’m happy I found Dawson’s and have an electrician I can trust.
We lost power due to lightening strike and they had somebody come out early the next day. Bryant was upfront about everything that needed to be done and what the cost would be. He did a visual check of the house explaining all the things he saw and possible issues that may not be visible. He coordinated with Duke Power, the town inspector, and the HVAC technician and made sure everything went smoothly. With his help everything was back up and running that day!!!

These guys are always fantastic. Fixed my problem, installed a fan - they even took the trash from the fan with them! It’s really the customer service that keeps me coming back though. Everyone I’ve ever dealt with at this company is nice, professional, honest!
Isaac was a very pleasant and easy technician to work with. He was very polite and professional. Isaac went over everything that was going to do before he did during the inspection that Dawson's died and they're service calls. When had them come to gives a quote on removing can lights on our front porch and installing ceiling fans. Isaac went over everything and had him install the fans the same day. I watched him work and enjoyed great conversations with him while he worked. I will be calling Dawson's for future work

Charlie came out to assess my home for surge protection and did an absolutely outstanding job. After a through system evaluation, he installed two layers of defense for my electronics: first a Vortex Series R VR-120 whole home surge protector at the main breaker panel was installed and then a secondary point of use Vortex Series B VB1-60-4XP surge protector on my HVAC equipment. He was professional, highly knowledgeable, and took the time to verify that everything was operating perfectly before he left. It gives me great peace of mind knowing my electrical system and sensitive electronics are fully safeguarded. If you need electrical work done right, ask for Charlie.Highly recommended!
