Upgraded existing 40-amp pool pump and heater circuit to 50-amp capacity to accommodate new heater installation requirements, including replacement of breaker, outlet, and associated wiring to meet code specifications. Diagnosed and replaced malfunctioning GFCI receptacle that exhibited connectivity issues. Ensured all work was completed prior to scheduled contractor access for patio work in the electrical service area.
Responded to a complete power loss in the garage affecting a refrigerator/freezer unit. Verified the circuit breaker in the sub-panel was not tripped and cycled the breaker with no restoration of power. Inspected the electrical panel servicing the garage and documented the existing electrical infrastructure for further diagnostic evaluation.
Responded to callback for NEMA 14-50R outlet overheating issue originally installed in December 2024. Customer reported receiving overheating alerts from Tesla app causing vehicle to enter slow charging mode, with outlet hot to touch over a four-week period. Inspected installation, verified proper wiring connections, and documented existing conditions with photos. Tested outlet under load with customer's EV charger to assess thermal performance and electrical integrity of the circuit.
Installed a new 120V electrical outlet above the fireplace mantel in the living room to accommodate a wall-mounted television. Additionally, installed a dedicated 120V outlet in the garage specifically for the garage door opener. Verified proper circuit functionality and grounding using electrical testing equipment at all new receptacle locations.
Installed whole house surge protection device in main electrical panel and integrated Trane HVAC surge protection system for equipment safeguarding. Performed structured media panel data conversion to upgrade network infrastructure capabilities. Assessed media enclosure electrical outlet configuration for proper voltage and grounding compliance.
We have been using Dawson Electric for a few years now. Everyone is very professional. Recently wanted a plug replaced on the porch. Bryant came did an excellent job with checking everything. He even helped me get a lizard out of my garage!

Dawson's responded very quickly to an electrical issue that turned out to be caused by a leaking roof. Their communications are clear and customer friendly, and Isaac did a great job.

Tim identified the problem, presented a solution, and made sure to check in before doing any work and let me know the price ahead of time. He also helped prevent a future problem by identifying a breaker that needed replacement. Would recommend to anyone.
