Installed a customer-supplied pre-assembled chandelier with a rectangular canopy mount at approximately 10 feet above finished floor in an indoor dining room, using ladders to work at ceiling height. De-energized the circuit at the main load center, mounted the canopy plate to the ceiling, suspended the fixture on its drop rod, made the line-voltage connections with wire connectors, and restored power. Tested the fixture for proper operation of all lamps and confirmed it was securely mounted and level.
Responded to a report of an inoperative motion-activated exterior light on the rear deck wall, mounted approximately 12 feet above grade. Inspected the dual-head floodlight fixture with integrated motion sensor module and performed diagnostic testing to verify proper power supply to the fixture. Findings were reviewed with the homeowner, and replacement options for the fixture or sensor were discussed.

Diagnosed multiple flickering lighting circuits affecting a bathroom light switch, an exterior deck motion light, and two garage fixtures in a 1984 home. Inspected the service entrance meter enclosure and found heavily soiled service conductors, lug connections, and meter base with accumulated dirt, debris, and cobwebs, indicating a potential source of the intermittent voltage issues. Documented findings with photos for further evaluation and recommended corrective action.
Replaced the dining room chandelier with the customer-supplied fixture, suspended from a ceiling canopy and chain at the approximately 10.5-foot ceiling height, and verified all lamps operated properly. Evaluated the dining room for the installation of an accent (art) light, and the main electrical panel was inspected to assess available capacity and circuit conditions for the proposed addition.
Responded to a chirping smoke detector complaint and inspected the unit, which was indicating a low-battery condition. Replaced the batteries in the affected detector and in all remaining smoke detectors throughout the home to ensure reliable operation. Also visually inspected the main electrical panel, noting crowded and unevenly routed conductors and rough drywall edges around the enclosure.
Completed the annual 32-point electrical system evaluation, including electrical panel maintenance with connection inspection and torquing, GFCI and AFCI protection device testing for proper operation, and smoke/CO detector maintenance with battery replacement and function testing. Performed light bulb replacement and ceiling fan cleaning on fixtures up to 12 ft. Verified GFCI outlet functionality with a test load, which operated correctly, and documented the outlet condition with photos.
Responded to a repeat complaint of a doorbell system humming, vibrating, and running hot at the front and rear entries. Inspected the doorbell chime unit with the cover removed, evaluating the transformer, terminal board connections, and wiring splices for signs of overheating, loose terminations, or electrical fault. Documented the condition of the chime enclosure and the surrounding wall, including discoloration beneath the chime box, to support further evaluation of the recurring issue.
Installed a new 100-amp pool subpanel fed by a 100-amp feeder from the main panel, with properly sized ground and neutral conductors and all new breakers and terminations. Added GFCI breaker protection per code for the pool heater, pump, and salt water chlorinator, and extended circuits to the pool panel through a new junction box on the existing conduit. Replaced rusted boxes below the panel with weather-resistant boxes and covers for the GFCI outlet and switches, and coordinated permitting and inspection with the local inspection department.
Diagnosed a non-functioning ceiling light fixture in a commercial sales office at approximately 9–10 ft. Found the fixture channels stripped of lamps and covers, with the junction box wiring uncapped and exposed. The wiring was made safe, and a replacement fixture was ordered for installation upon arrival.
Installed six AFCI/GFCI dual-function breakers to protect the sunroom, living room, and three bedroom circuits, and replaced the two-prong receptacle under the sunroom/kitchen opening with a grounded three-prong receptacle. Identified and relabeled the remaining circuits in the panel, with a handwritten circuit map prepared to document the breaker layout.
Very knowledgeable listen very well very professional. Would ask for the same service person rob again if I should ever have any future issues with my home.

We had our 28 year old 400 amp electric service replaced. They did a great job of installing the new panels with whole house surge protection and a new meter. We had no power for the day, as expected, but they worked efficiently and were able to get Duke Power people and Wake County inspectors out pretty quickly. We had power back on by 3pm. It was expensive ($12K), but that’s just what they cost. Like a. new HVAC, only different.

Excellent service and a very reasonable price. Tim was very friendly, polite, knowledgeable and respectful of my property. He took the time to explain what was causing the problem with my doorbell and electrical outlets and how he could repair it. There was no pressure, and he explained everything he was doing step by step. Nothing was done without my permission, which avoided any surprises. He replaced my doorbell, repaired the chime and reset the outlets in the garage and outside my home. I couldn't be happier with the service I received and I would definitely recommend this company.

Our safety inspection through the membership plan is well worth it especially when someone like Charlie shows up at your door! Charlie is not only knowledgeable, he shares his honest opinions on what should be replaced and why. He isn’t pushy and gave us a complete rundown of our home’s electrical safety needs. We felt so comfortable having him in our home. He is super friendly and pretty funny too! Our new puppy took a special liking to him as well! (sorry about that lol) Highly recommend Charlie!!
