Inspected main electrical panel and exterior service disconnect, documented existing wiring configuration including main service conductors and circuit breaker arrangement. Customer advised to keep breaker off until outdoor outlet circuit can be isolated and repaired to prevent potential electrical hazard affecting multiple interior circuits.
Responded to service call at 1940s residential property with electrical updates completed approximately 10 years prior. Performed comprehensive assessment of three primary electrical concerns: non-functioning outdoor outlet on west side of structure, request for new ceiling fan circuit installation at front porch, and feasibility evaluation for tankless electric water heater conversion. Inspected exterior electrical service equipment mounted on west-facing gray brick wall, including main service panel, meter base, and associated conduit runs. Evaluated existing electrical service capacity and panel configuration to determine load availability for proposed upgrades. Documented current electrical panel with dual columns of circuit breakers, noting available breaker spaces and existing circuit distribution. Responded to service call for chirping smoke alarm and non-functioning outlets at 1988 residential property. Upon arrival, found that breakers had been cycled by occupant in attempt to resolve smoke alarm issue, resulting in two outlets losing power. Inspected main electrical panel and all branch circuit breakers for proper operation and secure connections. Reset affected breakers and verified power restoration to outlets. Tested smoke detectors throughout home and confirmed chirping was due to end-of-life condition on multiple interconnected units. Advised that all smoke alarms are discontinued models and recommended complete replacement of all units with current code-compliant detectors to ensure proper life safety protection and eliminate nuisance alarms.
Installed a new weatherproof electrical outlet in the sauna by tapping into the existing lighting circuit. Ran Romex cable through the attic space, secured wiring at junction box, and mounted a gray flip-up style outlet cover on the wooden wall. Customer was advised that adding this outlet to the lighting circuit may cause the breaker to trip under heavy load conditions.

Responded to service call for humming doorbell transformer. Upon arrival, inspected Aqara smart doorbell system and associated low-voltage wiring. Located and examined doorbell transformer, confirmed humming noise originating from transformer unit due to internal component vibration. Replaced defective doorbell transformer with new unit rated for smart doorbell application. Restored power at circuit breaker panel, tested doorbell system for proper operation and verified elimination of humming noise. System functioning normally upon completion.
Responded to a non-functioning kitchen light switch that was previously making crackling sounds. Inspected the two-way switch configuration, verified the breaker was operational, and assessed the double-gang switch plate for electrical faults. Addressed the failed switch mechanism to restore proper lighting control in the kitchen.

Responded to service call for ceiling fan replacement at residence built in 2005. Customer had three Minka Air outdoor ceiling fans with one unit requiring replacement. Verified electrical panel configuration and existing wiring to ensure compatibility between new replacement fan and two existing operational units previously installed. Confirmed that new Minka Air model could be integrated with current wiring system and would operate in conjunction with remaining fans. Inspected flush-mount ceiling fan installation on beadboard ceiling, verified proper electrical connections, and documented electrical panel showing organized circuit breaker layout with appropriate wire gauging and connections. Ensured all three fans would function properly on existing circuit with compatible controls.
Responded to possible recall for tripping breakers at 1995 residential property with previous lightning strike history from 2024. Investigated reported issues with two salt system breakers and one booster breaker that were intermittently tripping. We had our 28 year old 400 amp electric service replaced. They did a great job of installing the new panels with whole house surge protection and a new meter. We had no power for the day, as expected, but they worked efficiently and were able to get Duke Power people and Wake County inspectors out pretty quickly. We had power back on by 3pm. It was expensive ($12K), but that’s just what they cost. Like a. new HVAC, only different.

Excellent service and a very reasonable price. Tim was very friendly, polite, knowledgeable and respectful of my property. He took the time to explain what was causing the problem with my doorbell and electrical outlets and how he could repair it. There was no pressure, and he explained everything he was doing step by step. Nothing was done without my permission, which avoided any surprises. He replaced my doorbell, repaired the chime and reset the outlets in the garage and outside my home. I couldn't be happier with the service I received and I would definitely recommend this company.

I had a great experience and couldn’t be happier with the service! From the moment Charles arrived, he was friendly, professional, and made me feel completely at ease. He took the time to thoroughly explain everything he was doing and walked me through the estimates in detail, making sure I understood exactly what was needed and why.
Our safety inspection through the membership plan is well worth it especially when someone like Charlie shows up at your door! Charlie is not only knowledgeable, he shares his honest opinions on what should be replaced and why. He isn’t pushy and gave us a complete rundown of our home’s electrical safety needs. We felt so comfortable having him in our home. He is super friendly and pretty funny too! Our new puppy took a special liking to him as well! (sorry about that lol) Highly recommend Charlie!!

I had Dawson Electric install a generator interlock and outside inlet for my generator. Charlie visited to estimate the Job. He was personable and professional. He had to come back to complete the job after permitting was done and the parts arrived. He did the work with another electrician and from what I could tell did an excellent job. I
