For Dawson’s Electric & Air, breast cancer awareness is more than a campaign this year.
This October, our team is coming together to support the Pretty In Pink Foundation in memory of Misty Carroll, a beloved family friend of our Dawson’s Electric & Air family who recently lost her battle with breast cancer. Her loss has made this cause especially close to home for all of us.
That’s why this year, pink means more.
In Memory of Misty Carroll
Misty’s battle with breast cancer touched the people closest to her, and her passing is a reminder of just how deeply this disease affects families and communities.
While we can’t change what happened to Misty, we can choose to honor her by helping someone else who is walking through their own breast cancer journey.
This October, Dawson’s will make a donation to the Pretty In Pink Foundation in Misty’s memory, helping support North Carolina breast cancer patients who are facing financial hardship during treatment.
Pink Means Giving Back
The Pretty In Pink Foundation provides financial assistance to breast cancer patients in North Carolina who are uninsured or underinsured and experiencing financial hardship during treatment.
Their support can help patients with expenses such as treatment-related co-pays, deductibles, premiums, chemotherapy administration, radiation, and surgery.
By supporting this organization, we hope to help ease some of the financial burden for patients and families when they already have enough to worry about.
Pink Means Community
Throughout October, our Dawson’s team will be finding ways to bring our community together in honor of Misty and in support of breast cancer patients across North Carolina.
Our technicians will be wearing pink shirts and pink booties in the field, and our team will come together with their families for a special Pink Night at the end of the month.
There will be food, fellowship, and plenty of pink, but most importantly, it will be an opportunity for our Dawson’s Electric & Air family to come together for something bigger than ourselves.
